Install a disc ripping program. In order to copy the game, you will need a program that will allow you to transfer the contents of the disc to your computer. July 16, , PM. I Figured It Out! I discovered a solution to this problem! I understand that not many of you have a spare monitor laying around, although It seems that it is the only solution. I did a bit of studying and learned that this isn't a problem with the operating system, the laptop you use, or the way you obtain the game. The problem is generally your monitor. The screen does not compute the Nancy Drew game made for previous systems.

The data is there, just not displayed. Hence, you must plug in another monitor. Just look for a big upside-down-trapezoid plug with tiny holes in it generally on the left side of your laptop. This will allow you to see to screens The monitor and the laptop.

Once you've done this, It may not work at first. At the top right click "Detect". As you already have the other monitor plugged in, it should detect the monitor. If it does, click the drop-down menu on "Display" and click the first option.

I am doing this on a Sony Vaio, It may be different on other computer brands. If it is, try every option until the display shows up on both screens, the monitor, and the laptop.
